Educational Shows

The educational school assembly shows by Professor Rags’ Magic Company are designed for each grade level and comply with the California Common Core Standards.

Brian Regalbuto, AKA Professor Rags, spent five years at Knott’s Berry Farm as an Educational Tour Guide for the following tours; Native American Cultures, Early American Heritage, Early California, and Westward Movement. He has carried this training to his educational shows.

Professor Rags’ Magic Company carries a $2,000,000 performer’s Insurance policy and for an additional fee can name your school as additionally insured.

Preschool Shows

The following three (3) preschool educational shows are low energy, because Brian Regalbuto, AKA Professor Rags, guarantees to leave the wee ones in a calm state. They will not be bouncing off the walls when he is done. In his opinion, an entertainer who leaves creating more work for the Childcare Center Staff should never be asked back.

A quick note on how this works for you…

1. Book any show, anytime, with no further commitment.

2. Want to book again, but don’t want the same show? Choose a new show and your three year olds see a fresh show every year at your center until they leave your care. This three year cycle keeps parents, kids, and staff happy.

These four laughter-filled magic shows (my educational shows are all fun filled magic shows too) are by far the most popular with child-care centers:

K-12 Educational Shows

The following educational school assembly shows are designed for each grade level and comply with the California Common Core Standards.

History and/or Literature Programs

Mark Twain – For Grade Levels 4th-12th: This program presents a middle-aged Mark Twain during 1885 when he was marketing his book Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. This presentation can cover Antebellum America to the Western Expansion, your choice. It can count towards both American History and American literature. It is a humorous program. (This is the show preferable for High Schoolers. The other shows offered are not geared for High Schoolers.)

Mark Twain– For Grade Levels, K-3rd: This program also presents a middle-aged Mark Twain during 1885 but for The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. This presentation can cover the same eras as the Secondary Education program. Both are equally humorous.

Professor Rags, as Mark Twain, will set aside 15 minutes for questions from the audience and will respond in character. However, Mark Twain can only answer questions about his life up to 1885 since he cannot see into the future.

Reading is Magic – For Grade Levels K-8th: This program presents the Wizard Pirate, Brian Woolums Gallagher, who sailed around the world with Sir Frances Drake. This presentation can cover the Renaissance to the American Colonial time periods, your choice. This is a fun magical history show or can count towards literature.

Health Education

Wizard’s Powder – For Grade Levels 2-8th: Professor Rags is an 1890s snake-oil salesman who proclaims Wizard’s Powder can grow back your teeth. This is a dental hygiene show using the negative sales approach to reinforce good dental health practices.

For Grade Levels K-1 see Cheerful Teeth.

Hocus Pocus Pasta Dinner Show

The Hocus Pocus Pasta Dinner Show is a forty-five (45) minute family friendly comedy magic show. It is a traveling dinner show presented at various restaurants throughout California and Nevada. Seating is limited and you must have prepaid reservations.

Search for the Unknown Magical Muggle is the featured magic play on the below dates. Professor Rags is a lecturer of the Defense Against the Dark Arts. He is looking to find a magical muggle to award a scholarship to Hagworth’s School of Wizard-Craft and Witchery. During the show he will teach the guests two simple muggle magic tricks. (This show is a Harry Potter parody not approved by Warner Brothers, Universal Studios Hollywood or J.K. Rowling.)

You may cancel your reservation 48 hours before the show and receive a full refund. However, cancellations less than 48 hours before the show will be charged a cancellation fee of $5.00 per person in party.

I am looking forward to seeing you and your party at one of these shows.

Yours Truly
